What We Do
Established in 2011, we are dedicated to providing businesses with detailed reviews and analysis of their working teams. On the ground, in the trenches, in a variety of roles from entry level to the executive.
We work with your team members and establish rapport and communication while learning about how they view their position, the company, and most importantly - are they a star waiting to be discovered or the sour milk in your coffee?
No one acts nor talks the same when the boss is around. It is during all the times when the boss or “management” are not (and this includes other managers), that we see team members in their own environment and can better see their true selves.
How We Do It
We work with you to establish what your parameters are; how many team members, what positions you are looking at, what is the work environment(s), and the level of reporting you desire.
We then determine how much time will be required and at what level(s) we will be embedded within your team. This can range from a few days to many months depending on your needs and scope of involvement. If you want the best information, then we need the time to get it done right.
Our experienced “Confidentials” have worked in numerous organizations and industries, from the tool box to the boardroom. We can walk the walk and talk the talk.
We will discuss with you the best strategy for our insertion into your company, in what role, and actually learn the job as if we were your full time employee.
We are often best placed in organizations looking to have an internship role filled, or someone filling in from another branch or subsidiary but can also come in as a stop gap hire short term until another replacement is found.
We can work alongside team members in a learning capacity, or take over established or newly created positions and fulfill the duties of that role.
By getting to know your team members in a day to day environment and working alongside them, we can provide valuable feedback to you with the fresh eyes and ears of an “outsider” that has the detachment needed while providing you with accurate, unbiased reporting of skill sets, redundancies or added value, team fit and communications, tendencies, risks, and potential red flags.
Do they work hard? Are they a significant risk to leave the company? Do they play dirty politics or undermine others? Can you count on them? Do you have a diamond or a dud or something in between? Where is your talent in the company?
At the end of the project we will provide you with a full accounting of the interactions we had with your team including as much detail and examples as possible. We hope this information provides you with the type of information you would not be able to gain on your own.
We only take on projects we deem a good fit for both parties and work by contract. Our “Confidentials” are placed in a variety of settings throughout the year and we may be limited on availability.
Where We Work
Anywhere. In any environment. Simply put, we do what we have to, to get the job done and we dedicate ourselves to as much time as is required.
We report only to you.
We work by contract after an agreed upon proposal (with options to extend if needed). We work the regular hours of that position and we don’t take sick days.
We have years of experience in a variety of industries and roles.
We keep ourselves low key and off the radar to avoid potential exposure when working with our clients.
We provide our clients with our utmost confidentiality and will not discuss our work with any other client or person.
As such, our resume of projects is confidential and we will not ask for your endorsement nor reference in keeping with that strict policy on confidentiality.
What we can say is that we have worked in an extensive array of trades such as mining, construction and service industries, oil & gas, and fisheries. We have been on the front line of the retail business and banking. We have also been involved in companies that focus on logistics, manufacturing, and communications to name a few.

Our Disclaimer
Although our reporting will provide numerous details and facts, they must still be taken in the light of what we heard and saw during that specific time over the course of regular job duties and challenges. We can provide a window that otherwise would be closed to you, but it is still only a window and to be acted upon following your own wisdom and intent.
Any actions you may take from our reporting are of your own volition and we must be seen clearly as not responsible for those actions. We are an information gatherer only and to the best of our ability under the circumstances we find ourselves in.
You may not agree with or like some of the information that we report on and we understand that. We work for you. We are simply your eyes and ears on the ground and find as much information as we can within our own ability to interpret what we find.
If we do come across provable evidence of illegal activity, we will notify you immediately. We must ethically also report that to local law enforcement under serious circumstances necessitating immediate action such as violence, serious threats to do bodily harm, and other things of that nature which will directly affect an individual or individuals in a significant and negative manner. We all must follow the laws of the land and ask for your understanding in such circumstances. We will provide law enforcement agencies with our most accurate information while adhering to your company policies regarding confidentiality of business practices. We will not share any information with other businesses, competitors, or news media.
Our Prices
We work at a standard rate of $300 per day plus applicable taxes for a standard weekday day shift. This cost includes our additional time to make notes and prepare your report(s) outside of the normal work shift.
This cost can vary for shiftwork, longer hours, or weekends. Any necessary extra expenses are paid for by our client and agreed upon throughout the process. This would include reasonable accommodations if outside of the Calgary or Victoria areas.
We do not take any video or audio recordings nor use other devices under normal circumstances. If it is deemed necessary to do so, we will reach that agreement together but we will ensure that we follow strict guidelines on communication only in areas that are deemed public where the person involved is not expecting strict privacy. We do not use hidden monitors or recording equipment nor are we investigative in nature.
Our approach is simple and effective: We work the job with the people already on your team. We interact, we learn, and we watch and listen. We report what we find to you and you alone.
We will provide you with our proposal once we fully understand your objectives and insertion points and work together to find agreement on costs.
